さて、最近話題に上がらないマウンテンバイクGIANT XTC840号ですが、またチューニング途中だったのですね。
今回は何とブレーキをディスク化します！
ブレーキをディスクにするにはホイールもディスク用にしなければならない訳ですが、もう既に入手済み。
マビックのMTB用のエントリーモデルであるクロスライドにネットで評判の良いAVIDのBB7という機械式ディスクブレーキを組み合わせました。
タイヤはBB BOROのサイドが赤い26×1.95のスリックタイヤ。

派手だなぁ。
今回からカラーコーディネートを黒赤で統一していこうかと思っています。

そしてブレーキ関連はきちんとしたトルクで組みたかったのと、ロードでも使うだろうということでオークションにて安いトルクレンチを購入。
2～24Nmまでトルク管理できるようです。
安物ですがどのくらいで締めているのか分からないよりはマシでしょう。
今回はここまで。
次回はキャリパーを取り付ける予定です。
