MTBをチューニングする7.2 ― 2011/06/26 20:55
先日ディスクとキャリパーを取り付けたXTC840号、ようやく残りの作業を行いました。
ブレーキワイヤーの取り回し、今回は奮発してシマノのXTRブレーキケーブルセットを用意しました。
そしてジャグワイヤーのトレイルボスガイドというケーブルガイドを購入。
ステンレスのワイヤーでできたガイドと取り付け、穴埋め用の8mmと10mmのボルトがセットになっています。

フレームとフロントショックのVブレーキ台座を取り外し、ボルトを取り付けようとすると、何だか上手く入りません。
左の黒いのがGIANTのフレームに付いていた台座、右の無塗装のものがSRサンツアーのフロントショックに付いていた台座です。
中央のトレイルボスガイドに付いてきたボルトと較べてみるとこんなにネジピッチが違っています。

何故かGIANTのネジとSRサンツアーのネジはピッチが一緒でした。
色々調べてみると、GIANTのブレーキ台座は規格が他社とは違うようで、台座のボルトも他社のものとは別に売っていました。
これが購入したa2z製ディスクブレーキボルト FAT:GIANTです。
フロントとリア用で2セット購入。
ピッチを較べるとピッタリでホッと一安心。
a2zのボルトとジャグワイヤーのガイドを組み合わせて取り付けてやりました。
こちらがフロント。
これはリア側。
スマートに取り回せました。
